Snake Plant was born in 2014. First he lived in Bushwick in a planter from Home Depot, although he didn't complain, as he's quite low-key.
When he moved to South Williamsburg he asked for a new Modernica planter and requested to live next to Magritte. Because he is far less temperamental than his siblings, he was rewarded.
In recent years, Snake Plant is having a bit of an identity crisis. Once the go-to plant for low-maintenance grandma's everywhere, Snake Plant is now favored by influencers who vacation in Tulum and prefer 'millennial' pink.
Likes: 20th century modern art, perfecting CO2 to oxygen conversion techniques, and Frederic Chopin.
Dislikes: cheese
Money Tree was born in 2016. He is fancy, which is unsurprising given that his name is Money Tree.
Likes: getting his trunk braided, Pellegrino (never sparkling), and a touch of indirect sunlight.
Dislikes: Plants that prefer their Latin name (it's passé), plants with filtration trays because it's just not chic.
Grassy Guy was born in 2016. As a child, he had very short hair and was self-conscious and anxious, but as he grew into a young adult and started to discover his true self, he let go. Guy grew his hair down his back, packed up and headed out west with his friends to burning man on a quest of self-discovery.
Guy is now a calming presence and provides guidance to his siblings during times of need.
Likes: Bob Marley, photosynthesis, bartering, micro-breweries
Dislikes: anything that harshes his mellow
Sheryl was born in summer of 2017, but she's an old, persnickety, soul. When she's not complaining about too much sun or too little, or too much water or too little, she can be found brooding over her acoustic guitar.
Likes: being dramatic, soaking up the sun, the idea of the American Southwest with no intention to visit it, sunscreen
Dislikes: the patriarchy
Plantina and Cappy are shelf siblings. Plantina, born in 2015 is the sister of Planty, her estranged brother from Prospect Heights. Plantina is a wild one. She stays up too late, drinks too much and knows smoking is terrible, but can't quite quit it. Still, she effortlessly rolls out of bed looking like a million bucks, with a devil may care attitude. She knows it won't last forever, so she has fun while she still can.

Dislikes: the man
The Captain, or Cappy manages the books. Born into a military family, his orderly and stoic nature is in his blood. He was put on this earth to keep the books in line and that's what he intends to do for the rest of his days. Although he has a tough exterior, he's a softy (literally he's full of sap.) He also keeps an eye on wild-child Plantina.
Likes: Revolutionary War documentaries, Crassulacean Acid Metabolism to minimize water loss, bird watching
Dislikes: fake news
Spyke was born in 2016. A lover of elevated aesthetics, he felt most at home on a mid-century Platner coffee table, atop a Supreme book and next to an overpriced candle. When he's not busy retaining water, you can find him DJing opening sets for Kanye.
Likes: limited edition Nikes, Drake (only his mixtapes), the juxtaposition of luxury sportswear and streetwear
Dislikes: poseurs, how plebeian Supreme has become, but he still has respect for those guys
Ficus Audrey is a classic lady. Named after the eternally chic Audrey Hepburn, Audrey exudes an enduring sophistication among her siblings. Although she seems sturdy, she is much more delicate than she appears and requires constant doting to retain her velvety leaves.
likes: riding in convertibles wearing a headscarf with a gentleman caller, humidity, a strong old fashioned
dislikes: the unbecoming antics of Plantina
Roberto is the eldest of the siblings, born in 2012, he has seen a lot. He is home to a village of animals including a giraffe, polar bear, brontosaurus and stegosaurus. Most notably, Roberto is romantically entangled with Shadine, the shade pull. Despite our best efforts to keep them apart, Roberto throws himself at her strings every morning. Roberto will do anything for love.
Likes: long walks on the beach with Shadine, producing laticifiers for rubber production, the smooth sounds of Kenny G
Dislikes: the nighttime, when he is separated from Shadine
